One Company, One Plant, One Exacting Standard of Quality...

These White Roofs Cover Your Every Requirement for Flaw-free, Non Ferrous Castings.

The modern Falcon plant contains over 150,000 square feet of floor space. Its equipment, all for the specialized production of copper and copper-base alloy castings, gets the job done because it is as complete as it is up-to-date. Outstanding features include an overhead crane system that puts Falcon in a class by itself for weight capacity.

A Pioneer Company Ready for the 21st Century

The Falcon Foundry Company is a progressive, non-ferrous foundry, second to very few in size, second to none in meeting customers' demands for quality. Falcon has its own pattern and heavy machine shops and offers fast, one-house service on custom copper and bronze castings up to 12,000 pounds in finish weight. One-house advantages include the fabricating and welding of steel attachments to copper-base castings.

Falcon is one of the few non-ferrous foundries worldwide that can produce difficult, heavy castings to X-ray quality specifications. The plant is equipped with superior production features such as its large melting capacity and network for heavy cranes, which permit casting single, multi-ton items in one piece. For non-destructive testing, the company has complete facilities to perform procedures including hydrostatic, air, specific gravity, ultrasound and conductivity tests. X-ray testing is also regularly performed through outside specialists.

In a definite sense, the history of the Falcon Foundry Co. extends back many years before its incorporation date in 1953. The company was an offshoot of the esteemed Falcon Bronze Co., located in Youngstown, Ohio. When Falcon Bronze was dissolved, a group of key management officials and production experts joined to form the new company, which continues to operate on its original site at 96 Sixth Street, Lowellville, Ohio.

There are currently more than one hundred people - administrators, engineers and skilled workers - employed under Falcon's roof. The company's castings are used in the steel, automotive, foundry cupola furnace, electric furnace and many other heavy industries worldwide.

In order to anticipate the changing needs of an increasingly specialized industrial marketplace, and to keep pace with related technologies, Falcon's challenge has been to provide sound, innovative solutions for its existing customers while cultivating new markets for difficult, heavy non-ferrous castings. The Falcon products going to these markets have ranged form high volume bronze impellers to large copper terminals for specialty welding equipment; from giant, water-cooled, electric furnace electrode holders to precision bronze bearings for sugar factory crushing equipment.

As the 21st century approaches, Falcon stands ready to serve you.
